Matthew Colthup is an exceptionally gifted technician of both the classical and electric guitars. Over the past few years, he has developed an extensive repertoire displaying his versatility and showcasing the classical Spanish guitar as an exciting vehicle for rock and ambient world music. An adaptable musician, he is equally at home with traditional works and inventions from composers such as Bach, Dowland and Lauro.

He credits much of his style and technique to the great American performer and teacher, Isaac Guillory.
